Ignition is a stable and small tool which can help you optimize the amount of space used when creating CD or DVD backups. In other words, it helps you shave off some megabytes in order to save a disc.
The program works by helping you place more data on an blank optical disc and also assists in creating ISO images for burning.
Ignition's interface is rather bare and basic and is organized in vertical tabs on the left hand side offering Data CD/DVD mode, Audio CD mode and settings. These modes support 650MB CDs, 700MB CDs and DVD discs -- dual layer and otherwise.
The settings menu is rather bare and doesn't give you too many options outside of selecting which language you would like to run the program in.
Overall, Ignition is an interesting solution for a niche audience which can help save that wasted disc if you're still using optical media to back stuff up.
